One of the things I love to teach is the concept of cycles and usually that’s using the analogy of the seasons because I’m all about nature.
Spring represents the beginning of the thing, summer is the main action, autumn is closing it down, and winter is the rest before the next thing. It’s a simple analogy that can be applied to any timeline: this article has a beginning, middle, and end, and so does the continent.
Think about your own work habits. Have you ever forgotten there could be a rest before the next thing? (of course) That’s just one example of why working with cycles can be so fruitful.
Like all embodiment work, it’s another way to learn more about yourself and your patterns. The reason to gain that additional self-awareness is so that you can choose what you want to do instead of acting on autopilot.
Try it for yourself
The cycle of the year is the combination of those seasonal concepts with the three things you get in working with me: presence, power, and pleasure. That would be twelve concepts but in fact each of those combinations yields several different qualities to explore with embodiment.
The main concept is somatic skill building. For example, you might be more or less patient as part of your usual personality. Nonetheless, being patient is a skill and you can get better at it.
Explore these ideas with me in the explanatory video and the embodiment workshop below.
What skill would you like to build first? [It doesn’t have to match up with the time of year.] Come to a free monthly taster session or Book in for a private session.
